Funders FAQ
Clear answers to common diligence questions
What is People United Foundation’s mission?
To build sustainable communities of educated leaders and entrepreneurs through practical learning, mentorship, and applied community projects.
What problem are you solving right now?
A growing leadership gap and knowledge-base void as AI reshapes work and entrepreneurship. We help communities build modern readiness—especially non-technical AI literacy, verification habits, and ethical decision frameworks.
What is the flagship program?
AI-Ready Communities (CLEP AI-Ready Track): a cohort-based program that integrates leadership development, entrepreneurship fundamentals, and non-technical AI literacy & ethics.
What does success look like and how do you measure it?
We track participation and completion, learning measures (self-assessment and mentor feedback), and applied action (participant-led projects or venture milestones initiated). We avoid overstating outcomes we cannot responsibly attribute.
What is the typical implementation timeline?
A typical cohort is a 14-week cycle (onboarding, sessions, applied projects, outcomes summary). Timelines can be tailored to partner needs.
How will funds be used?
Common uses include cohort delivery costs, facilitator/mentor support, participant materials, applied project support, and reporting capacity. We align spending to deliverables and stewardship requirements.
Do you collect sensitive personal data or use surveillance?
No. We aim to minimize data collection and retain only what is needed for operations and stewardship. We do not deploy surveillance, risk scoring, or enforcement mechanisms through this website.
Are you providing clinical services or legal advice?
No. Our programs are educational and capacity-building. We are not a clinical provider and do not provide legal advice.
How can a funder support you?
Support options include program support for a cohort pilot, capacity building, and partner-hosted cohort expansion. Visit For Funders or use Grant Intake to start a conversation.
What materials can you provide for diligence?
We provide a funder packet, one-page budget and timeline, governance/stewardship overview, reporting approach, and an RFP response kit as needed.
