Our Renovation Project Success
Our current facility has served us well and was recently renovated to better accommodate the elderly and disabled. They included installation and upgrade of plumbing, ADA Compliant restroom, toilet, sink, and handicapped accessible ramp. Much of the project’s success can be directly attributed to the assistance and work provided by our volunteers. We sincerely love and appreciate our volunteers.

PROJECT UNDERSTANDING
Based on our conversations, we understand that the People United Foundation (PUF) wishes to construct a new building to house its’ programs on the property they own at the address indicated above. The buildable area of the property is 53’ x 20’. This building will serve approximately 25 children and youth between the ages of 5 and 18 every day after school. The conceptual building footprint is approximately 53’x20’x3 stories, thus enclosing approximately 3,200 square feet. A preliminary construction budget of $500,000.00 has been established.
People United Foundation Inc. (PUF) provides entrepreneur educational leadership courses for students at risk who unfortunately dwell in impoverished neighborhoods amongst the band of thieves, gangs, prostitutes, drug dealers, etc. Many times, students are unsupervised and must provide food and shelter for themselves. Out of desperation and feelings of hopelessness, they resort to criminal acts such as burglary and theft just to survive.
PUF has a solution for this disease called “poverty”. Our leadership classes provide at-risk youth with hope, confidence, and life-skills to stay off the streets amongst the thieves and become productive law-abiding citizens and community leaders. As we continue to work diligently to keep our youth from committing crimes, we desperately need your contributions to our organization. Donations will assist with costs such as staff support, facilities improvement, new construction, programming for needy families, temporary housing, and food.
