PUFYAE is designed to educate youth on the invigorating power of self-employment. The program targets misguided and disenfranchised young adults inside underserved Atlanta communities. Training begins with responsibility and accountability. We use the basics of agricultural business development to redirect individuals in their life course. The PUFYAE program teaches students the economic and environmental benefits of growing your own food. We recognize Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) as an alternative, locally-based economic model of agriculture and food distribution to assist youth in becoming income producing citizens. Technical assistance focuses on farming, business planning, and money management tools. The most important skill a student can take away is self-preservation through economic security. We use best practices to advocate excellence.
